Veteran Services Culture Rebrand

Situation

Despite seeing a large increase in participation and engagement in Veteran Services events, Veteran Services staff observed that certain demographics of students and veterans remained un-engaged in events and services. The Veteran Services Program Manager tasked me with developing and executing a plan to increase the diversity of our engagement.

Results

Veteran services staff implemented an event strategy that increased engagement among female veterans, veterans of color, and veterans with children. The broadening of the event selection increased engagement on campus overall and ensured greater access to and awareness of available benefits for student veterans.
